Day 1: Mombasa – Tsavo West
Tsavo West National Park
Morning: Depart early from Diani Beach.
•Drive to Tsavo West National Park (approximately 5-6 hours).
•Check into your lodge or camp.
Afternoon: Enjoy lunch at the lodge.
•Afternoon game drive, exploring the park’s diverse landscapes, including the Shetani Lava Flows and the Mzima Springs.
•Spot elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and a variety of birds.
Evening: Dinner and overnight at your lodge/camp.
Day 2: Tsavo West to Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park
- Morning: Early morning game drive in Tsavo West, possibly visiting the Rhino Sanctuary to try spotting the elusive black rhino.
- Mid-Morning: Return to the lodge for breakfast, then check out and drive to Amboseli National Park (approximately 2-3 hours).
- Afternoon: Arrive at Amboseli, check in at your lodge/camp, and have lunch.
- Late Afternoon: Head out for a game drive in Amboseli. Enjoy the iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and look for elephants, lions, giraffes, and other wildlife.
- Evening: Return to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Amboseli to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
Salt Lick Lodge
- Morning: Early morning game drive in Amboseli to catch the sunrise and possibly spot more wildlife with Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop.
- Mid-Morning: Return to the lodge for breakfast, then check out and drive to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary (approximately 3-4 hours).
- Afternoon: Arrive at the Taita Hills Sanctuary, check in at the Salt Lick Lodge, and have lunch. Salt Lick Lodge is known for its unique stilted design, offering excellent views of wildlife from the comfort of your room.
- Late Afternoon: Enjoy a game drive in the sanctuary, which is home to elephants, lions, buffaloes, and a variety of birds.
- Evening: Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. The lodge’s waterholes are lit at night, providing a chance to see nocturnal wildlife activity.
Day 4: Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
Mombasa
- Morning: Early morning game drive in the sanctuary to see the animals as they are most active at dawn.
- Late Morning: Return to the lodge for breakfast, check out, and start the drive back to Mombasa (approximately 6-7 hours).
